User Access Control - Passcode for "Saving" or "Running" a Method

The ability to protect the system from method manipulation can be achieved by enabling the passcode feature. This feature is only available for software versions 2.6 or newer.

To activate the passcode, open the "Settings" tab from the SPE-03 program screen.

Under "User Access Control" the user can set passcodes for "saving" a method or for "running" a method.

Passcode for "Saving" a Method
  1. Click on the “saving” button. A window will appear to set up a 6-digit passcode.

  2. To set the passcode for the first time, enter “000000”.

  3. After entering the new passcode, click the “check” mark.

  4. A window indicating a passcode has been successfully set will appear.

  5. A lock indicator will be displayed at the “save” and “save as” buttons.

  6. Upon clicking the “save” or “save as” buttons, a window will appear to ask the user to enter the 6-digit passcode to save the method.

Passcode for "Running" a Method
  1. Click on the “running” button. A window will appear for setting up a 4-digit passcode.

  2. To set the passcode for the first time, enter “0000”.

  3. After entering the new passcode, click the “check” mark.

  4. A window indicating a passcode has been successfully set will appear.

  5. A lock indicator will be displayed at the “run” button.

  6. Upon clicking the “run” button, a window will appear to ask the user to enter the 4-digit passcode to run the method.

Passcode Deactivation
  1. Navigate to the “Settings” tab from the SPE-03 main screen.

  2. Click “Saving” or “Running” to deactivate either passcode.

  3. Type in the original 6-digit or 4-digit passcode.

  4. Type in “000000” or “0000” for the new passcode.

  5. Once the passcode has been set to 0’s, the passcode feature will be disabled. The user can continue to use the system without the need to enter the passcode.
